Kiwi kids learning to care for Kiwi and beyond

Conservation Kids NZ empowers tamariki (children) to connect with nature and grow as kaitiaki (guardians) for Aotearoa’s (New Zealand’s) wildlife. Through hands-on adventures, Kiwi kids gain the confidence to care for native species from bush to beach.
Kiwis are vanishing at 2% a year, with around 20 lost every week. As predators and habitat loss increase, it's vital we teach tamariki to protect these taonga (treasures).

Conservation Kids NZ, run by Envirohub Marlborough, connects tamariki (children) with local conservation efforts. Through community partnerships, they provide hands-on experiences that inspire young people to protect Aotearoa’s (New Zealand’s) unique wildlife and grow as kaitiaki (guardians) of nature.
